First and foremost I’m a guitarist, I play a small many other instruments though… some just well enough to write into a song! Because of this I almost consider myself first a listener, as well as an engineer due to the fact I mixed mix tapes long before I knew how to play the music… so then I picked up the guitar… and got my hands dirty!

Ok so, I began playing the guitar when I was 15, doing the neighborhood jam sessions at the players houses with the biggest basements and the most patiently cool parents. About two years on came the cover-band thing at 18.

- I think Prince and Madonna were the most requested that year!

Did the cover band thang for a bit… went out on the road …came back home, went back out to the road, came back home… toured around the United we truSt for about 3 or 4 or 5 years, let me think….hmmm? However, it was a blast while it lasted… the cover songs got boring?

…It was time to write my own songs! - Music is easy …it’s the words ???

Did that for about 3 years in the hometown, and had some wonderful collaborations… then I decided to head out west lookin fer gold in them thar hills!
Well, the gold in them hills I found were gigs playing sound engineer, not guitar?!?!  …setting up the band all those years is getting ready to pay off!

From 93’ this went full bore 10 years hard doing live sound mixing for oh so many Artists …I also do lights, but don’t tell anyone!

In between the sound gigs [93’-95’] I played bass exclusively with a group we called “Vibrant Roots” - this gave me new perspective on my musical identity and what it was like to play as one unit.. original music!

March 2002 I quit smoking cigarettes (gotta woohoo here!) and picked up the guitar again... I said, “how you been… I’m back” …but I no desire to play with a pick… I was feeling a finger style comin’ on! I began to do Open Mics and Busk around SoCal and Miami when doing sound gigs.

Presently, I play with some of both of the Lansing’s best unknown talent… of course I still do sound…ok, lights too! …and as soon as there is no smoke in the bars, I shall be there too!
